tell me a story. you want me to tell you a story? ok, ill tell you a story. i cant stand milk thats been sitting out. even if its only been sitting out for a minute or so, i like to drink it right after its been poured. otherwise it gets a not fresh taste to it. do you think we could ever identify that taste? ::sips milk that has been sitting out:: there it is again. you dont really taste it until it gets to the back of your throat. then even if the milk is still cold, it tastes warm. my story is that someday, that strange taste of milk will change my life. i may be in a grungy diner and order milk but send it back because they let it sit while my eggs were cooking. then when the cook brings my milk back hes this wonderful guy whos working as a short order cook at night while hes working on his phd or something. whatever the story is, it will be sweet and positive and uplifting and maybe even philosophical. but right now all ive got is the taste of milk thats been sitting out for only a minute, and some hope.

the end.

yesterday i was a page in the state house of representatives. it was soo cool, but i can imagine that after a few months or even a year it could get trying. but while the menial tasks arent really that great, just being there when they were debating on and voting on bills was awesome.

parsley, your new layout on your "normal" page is really cool. esp the rosencrantz and guildenstern stuff. ill have to go back and look at it some more.

oh yeah, while i was waiting on the floor of the house for the afternoon session to start, there were four little kids sitting to my right, 3 boys and a girl. to pass the time, the girl was asking whowantstobeamilliionaire style questions. then one of the guys took over. "what does ADIDAS stand for?" they argued for a number of minutes over whether it was all day i dream about sports or all day i dream about soccer. they finally noticed our teenage giggles and asked us what it really was. "im afraid i cant repeat it to you," i said. "sports," said alex, "its all day i dream about sports."

you know what? in PALs we were being warned about how each group of freshmen that come in are less and less innocent(we have to discuss sex and dating with our PAL kids) and thats whats happening with all of our children in todays society. so it was refreshing to hear these kids innocence, although it was ignorance.
