now i remember what i like about nd.

all summer, all i could think about was all the horrible stuff thats happened here....the asshole boyfriends, the tough courses, the cool kids all over the place. and for the better part of today, thats what my nd experience consisted of. ten hours in a truck with a guy i went to high school with, but barely know. then unpacking in the midst of all the rotc and frosh o kids, some of whom wont even say hi to me. becki and i already got mocked by them. bitches. but becki is part of the reason im glad to be back. and band. i went to the returning band members meeting and it was awesome. three hundred familiar faces in one room. three hundred friendly familiar faces. lovely to see all the trumpets again. after the meeting, me, becki, and a bunch of the trumpet guys went to fridays for dinner. i was so grateful for that, because i sure didnt want to eat microwave ravioli tonight. i love these guys, and we feel like weve never left. every now and then well be startled by something thats changed a little, but its really like being back home. and being out from under my mom. (mom, do you read this? cause i have a sneaking suspicion you do) going someplace and deciding for myself whether i want to go or not, whether i can go or not.

::heheh:: i got an IM from booty today. he called me kiddo. got an offer from rory to go to lafun already (its fricken twelvethirty at night, and i have march out tomorrow. no!) and BT breezed right past me in the band hall but feels slighted when i fail to notice him waving at me through a tinted car window.

band band band. band and physics are the reasons i love nd. band is awesome, band is the greatest thing on earth. i cant explain it, and the nd band is just the coolest thing ever. ah well, id better go to bed, i need to wake up becki tomorrow. thats going to be a blast, im sure.
