A Physicist's Guide to Smoked Gouda

i love having a freshman project. becki and i each chose a freshman trumpet boy to be our "project" for the year. hers is chris from oneill, cause hes always so sad and negative. she just wants to cheer him up all the time! mine is dan from sorin (i know, i know) cause hes just so adorable. hes a townie, and his girlfriend from high school is in cavanaugh. he was doing the cutest thing the other day...carrying around her sweatshirt and sighing about how much he loves the smell of french vanilla. ::giggles:: anyway, the funny thing was that id never really talked to him before i declared him to be my project, and now i run into him everywhere. like in nieuwland today, i had just handed in my mechanics hw (which i understood for once) when i found him wandering around the second floor of nsh, looking for a room on the first floor. luckily, i knew exactly what room he was looking for.

thats the cool thing about freshman boys. they hang on every word you say, just because youre a sophomore girl. you have a certain demi-goddess status. but youve got to be careful. dont go asking them to dances or anything, cause as soon as youre in a situation where you are on equal footing, like a date, youve lost that certain bit of power over him. but it was almost a difficult choice for my freshman project, there are so many cute freshmen trumpets.

but alas, unlike everyone else in my hall, including becki and kat, i did not go to a dance tonight. not one invitation. so anne and i went to see O instead. that was really a good movie, awesome rendition of Othello. i was a little disappointed that they broke up most of the monologues and speeches, but still, very very cool.

ok, enough. i want to get up early tomorrow so i have plenty of time to get work done, and go to theology symposium tomorrow.
