gah, i just got off the phone with my mom.

EJM ankh: that it doesnt matter what im doing, but anytime i make up an agenda of my own, my mom comes along and piles on a million more things that need to be done and i always end up having to revise everything

DickLaronte: what on earth could your mom be making you do when she's 500 miles away

other than that everything has been fine. im going on 2 hours of sleep and minimal food today. my dad sent me a card saying he was in a parking lot with a dead body. theres a kid in my calc class who looks like a dead body because he split his forehead playing football and its absolutely gruesome. i got hit in the head twice playing rugby and carrie is all worried about me. anney is trying out for guys and dolls tomorrow and she wants me to try out also for support. i dont think ill try out but id like to be there for her anyway. anney is a voice major and definitely one of the most talented people on campus.

im glad i finally have a weekend without football. 3 home games in a row and then an away game is really a tough schedule. i came back from the michigan state game saturday night and i just didnt know what to do with myself. i had all the giddiness of a high school band bus trip with all the exhaustion of being a band manager.

i could make some whole big comparison of michigan and notre dame football but i havent the motivation to do so. its just that home games are such a carnival here anyway. its like being at a theme park, or something like the rennaissance fair. on the march out to the stadium you can just smell the beer from all the tailgates. theres notre dame band music streaming from dorm windows, and i even overheard someone call the victory march "the notre dame theme song" like were a sitcom or something. its like hersheypark and im the uniformed staff member with the name tag here for each visitor's assistance.

ross IMed me again and i told garrett about it. so garrett, being an ass of course, goesa nd IM him,nice little bickering match ensues. ross is just as manipulative as ever. ::snarls::

im really excited for this weekend. no football. syr at sorin and im dressing up goth to go there. tony's coming and i get to show off the campus i call home. get to go shopping with kelly and make cookies with carrie. kinda tired and content right now. ill try to take a nap and maybe get up again to do a little homework.
